Golf Courses in Crystal River Area
There are over 20 golf courses within a 30 minute drive The following is a brief description of a few of them.

Plantation Inn Golf Club - A traditional Florida course, flat with lots of water and sand. Fairly open tee shots with large greens guarded by bunkers. Water on 14 holes requiring care in shotmaking but fun to play. Tel               (352) 795-7211

Dunes Golf Club at Seville - "1988 Best New Public Course" in Florida. Meanders through sand-hills and pine trees to well protected greens. No water or "sand traps" but everything except the fairways and greens have been left in it's natural state. Very challenging and requires lofted shots onto the greens. I really enjoyed this one but your golf game needs to be in good shape. Tel               (352) 596-7888

Twisted Oaks Golf Club - A course designed by Karl Litton, featuring rolling hills. Narrow fairways and small greens. Requires accuracy rather than length, but has 4 sets of tees so you can choose the degree of difficulty. A beautiful course you will be hearing about for years to come. Tel               (352) 796-6257

El Diablo Golf Club - Well designed course threaded through Oak and Pine. Good test of golf at a surprisingly reasonable green fee. About 30 minutes away but worth the drive. Tel               (352) 465-0986

World Woods Golf Club - Always in the top 100 golf courses in the USA. Two Tom Fazio eighteen hole championship courses in one great place! Add a nine hole executive course, and you have the world of golf. Tel               (352) 796-5500

Citrus Springs Golf Club - "A touch of North Carolina". From your first shot down the hill then up to the green, to your last shot up the hill to the 18th green, you will think you are in North Carolina. A real surprise to Florida visitors. Tel               (352) 489-5045

Rainbow Springs Golf & Country Club - A touch of the old south. Rolling fairways winding through stately oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Plays longer than the yardage with large greens well protected by larger bunkers. A Joe Lee design. A little out of the way but worth the extra mile. Tel               (352) 489-3566
